Something Els is a graphic and textile design studio founded by Els Vande Kerckhove and is based in Brussels.

Graphic design

The main working fields of Something Els are culture, fashion and architecture.

We work on big and small projects for bigger and smaller clients.

We prefer to cooperate with the client instead of just working for the client.

We love to try and discover new things.

Textile design

Through her graphic work, Els got introduced in the fascinating world of textile design. Soon after the start of her graphic design agency, she started making drawings for fabric prints, woven accessories, embroideries, etc for clients. Els was interested in and passionate about the manufacturing process of textiles, especially weaving and printing. She attended courses in handweaving and (digital) jacquard weaving in Belgium, Italy and Norway.

In 2019, Els presented her first personal collection of designs at Première Vision.

Teaching

Since 2014, Els Vande Kerckhove is a lecturer in Design and Information Design at the Multimedia Design program of the Erasmushogeschool in Brussels.
